Catherine Papon-Nouvel, who acquired Château Peyrou in 1989, is the daughter and granddaughter of Saint-Émilion winegrowers and an oenologist by training. She is passionate about wine and vineyards and produces top quality wines in Côtes de Castillon on the border of Saint-Émilion.
We attach huge importance to respecting our terroir and the environment. In our vineyards, we work to enhance the natural ecosystem and soil life, and the survival of flora and fauna, in order to protect our terroir and allow it full expression of its greatest treasures.
A combination of precise know-how and the daily attention of each member of our Château Peyrou team allows us to bring out the best in our terroir and our wines, year after year.

We work the land with respect and passion. Eliminating all chemical products from our processes means we need to be extra rigorous and attentive to extract the best from our vines. We started our conversion to organic farming in 2008. Irrespective of trends and fads, we were convinced of the benefits of using a respectful, organic approach, which eventually saw us awarded ECOCERT certification.
